In the Gallows of RIP
Under the New Management and Panel, we came to the conclusion that when we brought the site back to its original origin, that R.I.P. would be a place where members are sent:
If you offer up no defense and you couldn’t meet NFLSD’s standards, you could find yourself in R.I.P.
We haven’t used RIP very much, especially because the site is just over 1 year old and that we are getting additional members to understand the theme of our site more, however, that doesn’t mean that it won’t be used, for example, our most recent RIP, PreferNFL, was placed there because he was totally abused by a number of members and offered up no defense. Also, TwistedRebel found himself there, as he didn’t Man Up to TNV.
Recently, we’ve found that several members from the old NFLSD are longing to be placed in RIP because they claim that, “He told us that we would be there.” Watching them beg to be in RIP is humorous because they want it to be used as a symbol of some form of honor to be rotting away in our gallows. We aren’t ever going to use RIP for anyone to become a martyr and try and achieve glory through our site. We know that some would love nothing more than to be placed in our gallows so that they can refer back to it and create fictional stories about why they were placed there to share with their circle jerk and lowly followers. We won’t give anyone the satisfaction of trying to be a martyr here at NFLSD.
Our Panel and Management will decide if RIP is an option and it’s open to debate. We go through an in depth decision making process that doesn’t just end in 1 or 2 days. It usually lasts for several days and a decision is rendered. It isn’t based on one’s popularity or lack thereof.
The next time RIP is used, many will understand that it was warranted and that it was the right decision. Rotting away in our gallows is a disgrace, not something to be perceived as an honor, though some would see it as such, and why not, they could always say, “Look they couldn’t handle me and they sent me to RIP.”
Not such luck here at NFLSD!
